Position Summary:

The Hopewell Brewing Company is seeking to hire a Cellar Person / Packaging Operator. This position reports directly to the Head Brewer and will ensure smooth execution of brewery and packaging operations.

The successful applicant will bring a mix of practical brewery packaging experience along with working with small teams. The Cellar Person / Packaging Operator is responsible for preparing beer for packaging, CIP of cellar tanks, packaging Hopewell beer in kegs and cans with the highest quality in mind, and CIP of packaging equipment

The Hopewell Brewing Company is a progressive craft brewery located in Logan Square Chicago. We operate a taproom, brewery, and distribute beer in Illinois and beyond.

Primary Responsibilities

The Role:

- Working with the production team in executing the cellar and packaging plan
- Operating the packaging line alongside the Packaging Supervisor
- Responsible for racking draft beer with our keg cleaner/​filler
- Provide support in the brewery and cellar, specifically brewing, centrifuging beer and CIP of tanks

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience thriving in small teams situations
- 2+ years brewery experience preferred
- Passion for craft beer
- Salary: $46,000 — $52,000 depending on experience

- Salary Range: $46,000 — $52,000. Salary is determined by the candidate’s demonstrated mechanical skill and related experience.
