Keep hemp-derived THC beverages accessible by voicing your opposition to SB 3926. Provisions established in SB 3926 would prohibit Illinois craft brewers (and other businesses) from producing these beverages. Voice your opposition to SB 3926 here.
Hemp-derived THC beverages are an important part of the non-alcoholic beverage space that more and more consumers are turning to each day. Currently, hemp-derived THC beverages are permitted to be sold through more traditional channels like grocery stores, restaurants and brewery taprooms, making them much more accessible than regulated channels such as dispensaries. If SB 3926 passes, these beverages would essentially vanish overnight.
A more constructive policy framework to regulate the production and sale of hemp-based products has already been introduced this session (SB3790 & HB5306). Our elected officials should insist that legislation be considered above late-addition proposals that would ban thousands of businesses from participating in an emerging industry that brings these sought-after beverages to a wider audience.
